QC Engineer (Mechanical, Fire Protection)

Responsibilities

- Perform QA/QC inspections for all MEP activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and international standards.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, client, consultant, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and effective MEP coordination.
- Review mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and Scope of Work (SOW) before execution.
- Inspect and supervise the installation of Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Fighting Systems, water supply, drainage, sewerage, and HVAC ducting works.
- Ensure all fire protection installations comply with NFPA, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Prepare, submit, and track WIR (Work Inspection Requests) for consultant inspections and approvals.
- Review and verify MIR (Material Inspection Requests) to ensure materials meet approved submittals and project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, installation quality, and construction progress.
- Coordinate with construction teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely completion of work.
- Monitor installation activities to ensure compliance with approved method statements and quality procedures.
- Witness and monitor testing and commissioning activities for mechanical, Fire Alarm Systems, and Fire Fighting Systems.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including WIRs, MIRs, RFIs, NCRs, inspection reports, and punch lists.
- Monitor the closure of NCRs and punch list items by coordinating with relevant teams.
