Job Purpose:
The Logistics Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the movement of materials, equipment, personnel, and vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution. The role focuses on logistics planning, traffic management, site coordination, and continuous improvement of logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement Construction Logistics Plans (CLP).
* Prepare Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and vehicle routing plans.
* Coordinate material deliveries with procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Plan laydown yards, storage areas, and logistics zones.
* Monitor daily logistics activities and site access control.
* Coordinate heavy equipment movement and crane logistics.
* Prepare delivery schedules and unloading sequences.
* Ensure efficient utilization of loading and unloading facilities.
* Coordinate with construction teams to avoid logistics conflicts (SIMOPS).
* Monitor transportation performance and optimize fleet utilization.
* Prepare logistics risk assessments and mitigation plans.
* Support emergency access planning and evacuation routes.
* Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
* Conduct logistics inspections and site audits.
* Coordinate temporary road construction and maintenance.
* Monitor warehouse and inventory movement.
* Prepare weekly and monthly logistics reports.
* Analyze logistics KPIs and recommend improvements.
* Support value engineering to reduce logistics costs.
* Coordinate with client, consultant, and authorities regarding logistics matters.

HSE Responsibilities

* Ensure safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
* Enforce project traffic management procedures.
* Conduct logistics toolbox talks.
* Participate in risk assessments and method statement reviews.
* Report incidents and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure emergency access routes remain unobstructed.
* Monitor compliance with lifting and transportation safety requirements.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
* Professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain (preferred).
* Valid driving license (preferred).

Experience

* 5–10 years of logistics experience.
* Minimum 3 years in large construction or infrastructure projects.
* Experience in mega projects is preferred.
* Experience in construction logistics planning and temporary works coordination.
