Indian PTMEG prices closed at Rs 225.00/kg after increasing by Rs 5.00/kg from the previous weekly assessment of Rs 220.00/kg. Indian PTMEG prices remained Rs 42.00/kg below the level recorded a fortnight earlier, indicating that the latest recovery offset only a limited portion of the preceding decline. The current assessment continues to trade near the lower end of its recent range.
The monthly comparison showed a drop of Rs 45.00/kg from Rs 270.00/kg. Over three months, PTMEG declined by Rs 62.00/kg from Rs 287.00/kg. The current level is also Rs 23.00/kg lower than the six-month reference price of Rs 248.00/kg. The annual high was Rs 290.00/kg, providing a wider benchmark for assessing PTMEG prices in India against earlier elevated levels.
Indian PTMEG prices are currently supported near Rs 220.00/kg, with resistance identified around Rs 250.00/kg. The Rs 225.00/kg assessment is therefore positioned Rs 5.00/kg above support and Rs 25.00/kg below resistance.
Procurement teams can use the weekly rebound, fortnightly decline and longer-term comparisons when reviewing supplier quotations and purchase requirements. The contrasting movements across different time periods also provide useful context for budgeting, inventory valuation and contract discussions. The latest recovery is measurable, but the monthly, three-month and six-month baselines remain below their earlier reference levels.
