Before Work Starts Read and understand: Review the work permit, scope, and hazards completely. Inspect the site: Check that the area is safe, gas testing is done, and energy isolations (LOTO) are active. Brief the team: Conduct a toolbox talk to explain risks, safety rules, and required gear to all workers. During the Job Keep the permit: Maintain the physical copy of the permit visible at the job site at all times. Enforce rules: Make sure workers wear correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety limits. Stop unsafe work: Halt operations immediately if conditions change or an unsafe situation happens, and notify the issuer. After Completion Clean the site: Ensure tools, materials, and waste are cleared and the area is safe. Close the permit: Return and sign off the permit with the issuer to end the job safely.
