Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Freight Forwarding Accountant to manage our logistics financial operations. You will handle freight billing, carrier invoice reconciliation, and international currency transactions. This role ensures accurate job costing and profitability analysis for our shipping files.

Key Responsibilities
* Job Costing: Review and close freight forwarding files to analyze profit margins.
* Invoice Verification: Match carrier bills of lading with agreed freight rates.
* Dispute Resolution: Resolve billing discrepancies with ocean, air, and land carriers.
* Accounts Receivable: Monitor client credit limits and collect outstanding freight charges.
* Accounts Payable: Process vendor payments, including overseas agents and customs brokers.
* Multi-Currency Reconciliation: Manage transactions in multiple currencies and track exchange rate variances.
* Financial Reporting: Assist with month-end closing, accruals, and deferrals.

## Qualifications & Skills
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of accounting experience specifically within logistics or freight forwarding.
* Software: Proficiency with freight management systems and standard accounting software.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Incoterms, customs duties, and maritime/aviation shipping terms.
* Skills: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and high attention to detail.
