We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical & Mechanical BIM Modeler to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing, coordinating, and managing detailed Building Information Modeling (BIM) for complex MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Detailed Modeling: Develop accurate 3D BIM models for electrical and mechanical systems using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
Clash Detection & Resolution: Conduct rigorous clash detection analyses between MEP services and architectural/structural elements, providing proactive technical solutions on-site.
Shop Drawing Extraction: Generate comprehensive and coordinated installation drawings, schematics, and coordination layouts for site execution.
Quantity Take-offs: Extract precise material quantities and specifications directly from the federated BIM models to support procurement and estimation teams.
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, lead engineers, and site teams to ensure adherence to international codes, standards, and project specifications.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical BIM modeling within large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced command of Autodesk Revit (MEP), Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD. Familiarity with Dynamo or other automation tools is a strong advantage.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of MEP engineering services, routing principles, cable tray sizing, substation layouts, equipment clearances, and local engineering standards.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent spatial visualization, and effective communication skills to resolve complex coordination bottlenecks.
