ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receive and Review Permits:
Accept work permits (Hot Work, Confined Space, Electrical Isolation, etc.) from issuing authority. Verify
that permits are complete, correct, and authorized.
2. Ensure Site Readiness:
Conduct pre-job inspections to ensure the worksite is safe and complies with permit requirements.
Confirm isolation, gas testing, and barricading are completed before work begins.
3. Coordinate with Teams:
Communicate with supervisors, safety officers, and technicians about the scope of work and safety
precautions.
Ensure all personnel are briefed on the permit conditions and required PPE.
4. Monitor Job Execution:
Continuously check the worksite to ensure safe practices are followed.
Stop work and notify management if unsafe conditions arise.
5. Maintain Documentation:
Keep accurate records of all active and closed permits.
Update permit logs and ensure timely closure and return of completed permits.
6. Follow Safety Protocols:
Adhere strictly to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures.
Report any incidents, near-misses, or violations immediately.
7. Participate in Safety Meetings:
Attend toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings regularly.
Provide input to improve the permit-to-work (PTW) system.
8. Support Shutdowns and Turnarounds:
Manage a high volume of permits during major maintenance periods.
Coordinate with multiple teams to avoid work conflicts or overlaps.
