Responsibilities
1. Collect and analyze drill cuttings (lithology description, sample catching at set intervals)
2. Monitor and interpret gas readings via gas chromatograph (total gas, C1–C5, wetness/balance ratios)
3. Record and log drilling parameters (ROP, WOB, RPM, pump pressure, torque, flow rate)
4. Detect and report shows of oil/gas, kicks, and lost circulation
5. Correlate lithology with wireline logs and offset well data
6. Maintain mud logging unit equipment and sensors
7. Prepare daily geological/drilling reports for client and operations team
8. Monitor for H2S and other drilling hazards; enforce HSE
