TAFC and TAFJ environment management.
In depth knowledge in TOCFEE & IRIS components.
WAS Layer set-up for browser, MQ set-up and Integration components.
Jboss set-up for IRIS & Temenos Application.
Middleware Adaptor of Temenos
The candidate must be familiar with Oracle configuration and optimisation practices recommended for Temenos implementations and be able to work with DBAs to ensure performance, scalability and stability of the Temenos platform across UAT and Production.
Knowledge on AIX to support Temenos.
File Systems like GPFS.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & UAT operational support
• Administer and monitor Temenos application components (Core, IRIS, TOCFEE, MQ, WAS and integration adapters) in Production and UAT.
• Perform Production, UAT health checks, service availability checks and batch/job monitoring.
• Support daily operations such as:
• Supporting the Development teams in creating the Dev/UAT/Staging environments and making sure they are up and running.
• Should be able to Troubleshoot the issues in any layer like Browser, TOCFEE, IRIS, Database, File Systems, TC Server, MQ and WAS components of Temenos.
• Making Sure data backups, restoration of data, binaries, Archival of data are adequately monitored and taken care.
• 2. Incident and problem management
• Analyse application and integration failures across:
• Core
• IRIS
• TOCFEE
• Webmethods adapter
• MQ
• GPFS File system or Similar
• Oracle Database
• Identify root cause for issues related to:
• interfaces
• batch processing
• middleware failures
• data synchronisation
• Provide clear technical inputs to Support and Development teams during major incidents.
• Act as the first line technical owner for Temenos-related incidents and coordinate with vendor support when required.
3. Application and middleware administration
• Administer Temenos components deployed on:
• WebSphere
• Jboss
• Software AG Temenos Adaptor.
• Monitor and manage:
• JVM utilisation
• connection pools
• adapter connectivity
• MQ queues and channels
• Locking issues, connection Timeouts, Application Logs
• Work closely with the middleware team to ensure:
• reliable message delivery
• error handling
• retry and recovery mechanisms
• Work with internal infrastructure, database and network teams during:
• Disaster Recovery
• BCP processing
• Outages of environment
4. Environment and release management
• Support application deployments and configuration changes across:
• UAT
• Pre-production
• Production
• Staging and Development Instances.
• Coordinate with development, QA and infrastructure teams during:
• Scheduled releases
• Emergency deployments
• Core Patch deployments
• Ensure proper configuration and version alignment of:
• Temenos components
5. Batch, EOD and interface monitoring
Monitor and support:
• End of Day (EOD) / batch processing in production, UAT instances
• T24 Services in Production and Disaster Recovery
• All the Traffic connecting to Core Banking.
Analyse and resolve:
• batch failures
• interface reprocessing
• data consistency issues
6. Security and access administration
• Support application-level access and operational roles (in coordination with security teams).
• Ensure audit and operational access controls are aligned with bank policies.
• Co ordinate with IT Helpdesk, Internal and external Auditors for BAU activities and Audits.
7. Vendor and internal coordination
• Act as the single technical coordination point with Temenos support for:
• Product defects
• Patches from Customisation and Core Fixes
8. Projects, Documentation and operational readiness
• Maintain and update:
• run books, BAU procedures in Support.
• Standard operating procedures
• Recovery procedures
• Prepare and validate:
• operational checklists for new releases
• Participate in Core banking Projects & support the development teams.
• handover documents from project to BAU support
