Electric Foreman - Must Have Interior Fitout

Job Objective

The Electrical Foreman / Team Lead will lead and oversee all electrical works carried out within SPACE/CRAFT's Tijuana, Mexico production facility, covering the full scope of electrical installation, integration, and commissioning across luxury retail fixtures, visual merchandising displays, interior fit-out structures, custom furniture, and experiential branded environments.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role that sits at the intersection of technical electrical expertise and production team management. The ideal candidate has a proven background in electrical works within VM production, retail fit-out, or interior construction environments, and is equally confident running a team on the shop floor as they are reading schematics and troubleshooting complex electrical systems. They understand the precision, finish quality, and reliability standards demanded by global luxury brands and take full accountability for the electrical function within a fast-paced, multi-project production environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, supervise, and manage the day-to-day work of the electrical team across all active production projects
• Plan and allocate electrical team workload to meet production schedules across concurrent projects
• Oversee all in-facility electrical installations including power distribution, low-voltage systems, lighting integration, LED displays, AV systems, and control wiring within retail fixtures and fit-out structures
• Read, interpret, and execute from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, lighting plans, and technical specifications
• Ensure all electrical work meets brand specifications, design intent, and regulatory compliance standards
• Conduct quality inspections and sign off on completed electrical installations before handover to assembly, QC, or dispatch
• Coordinate closely with joinery, metal, acrylic, painting, LED display, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into fabricated structures
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults, wiring issues, and system failures across production
• Support on-site installation and commissioning teams for client-facing project deliveries when required
• Ensure full compliance with electrical safety standards, workplace health and safety regulations, and applicable local codes
• Train, mentor, and develop team members on electrical techniques, safe working practices, and quality standards
• Manage electrical material inventory including cables, conduit, connectors, switchgear, drivers, and consumables
• Review project drawings and specifications ahead of production to identify electrical requirements and flag any design issues early
• Maintain accurate records of installations, test results, material usage, and any technical issues or deviations

Education & Experience
• Electrical trade qualification, technical certificate, or equivalent vocational certification is required
• 7 to 12+ years of hands-on electrical installation experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in a foreman, team lead, or supervisory role
• Proven background in electrical works within visual merchandising production, luxury retail fit-out, interior construction, exhibition builds, or custom fabrication environments
• Strong experience with low-voltage systems, power distribution, lighting integration, LED systems, and AV/control wiring within furniture and fixture production
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Experience managing electrical work across multiple concurrent projects in a high-volume production environment
• Experience working to the standards demanded by premium international retail or hospitality brands is a strong advantage

Skills & Competencies
• Deep expertise in electrical installation including power distribution, low-voltage wiring, conduit routing, panel wiring, and termination
• Strong knowledge of lighting systems including LED strip integration, LED drivers, dimmers, and lighting control systems
• Familiarity with LED tile display systems, AV signal cabling, and media control wiring is a strong advantage
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards, safe isolation procedures, and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a production electrical team in a demanding environment
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills across electrical and low-voltage systems
• Ability to read and execute from electrical schematics, lighting layouts, and technical installation drawings with precision
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to clean, safe, and high-quality workmanship
• Strong coordination and communication skills to collaborate across multi-disciplinary production teams
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain output quality under fast-paced production conditions
• Proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred given the cross-border nature of SPACE/CRAFT operations
