We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our growing team.
Role Summary
As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for independently managing the accounts and VAT matters of multiple clients. You will act as the key point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring their bookkeeping is accurate, their VAT returns are filed correctly and on time, and their overall financial records are compliant with relevant regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of multiple client accounts
- Prepare, review, and file VAT returns accurately and within deadlines
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records (sales, purchases, expenses, bank reconciliations)
- Ensure compliance with VAT laws and accounting standards across all client accounts
- Liaise with clients to collect necessary documents and clarify financial queries
- Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports for clients
- Handle VAT registrations, amendments, and de-registrations as needed
- Coordinate with tax authorities on client-related VAT matters when required
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting/VAT issues proactively
- Keep up to date with changes in VAT regulations and accounting practices
- Supervise or coordinate with junior accountants/bookkeepers, if applicable
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ post‑qualification accounting experience, ideally in a firm environment providing outsourced accounting and VAT services.
• Practical experience with Bahrain VAT regulations and VAT return preparation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS preferred) and best practices.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Tally, ZohoBooks) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Client-focused, professional demeanor, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
