Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Permit Receiver to support mechanical activities at the SASREF site in Jubail. The Permit Receiver will be responsible for obtaining, maintaining and closing work permits in accordance with SASREF procedures and ensuring that all required safety controls and permit conditions are implemented before and during work execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, review and manage Permit to Work (PTW) documentation in accordance with SASREF site requirements.
• Ensure that the required permits are obtained and approved before commencement of work.
• Verify that the work scope, location, equipment and activities covered by the permit are correctly identified.
• Ensure all required isolations, LOTO, gas testing and other safety controls are in place where applicable.
• Coordinate with the Permit Issuer, Mechanical Supervisor, HSE/Safety Officer and site operations team.
• Ensure the work crew understands the permit requirements and associated safety precautions before starting work.
• Conduct or participate in pre-job briefings and toolbox talks related to permit conditions.
• Monitor compliance with permit conditions throughout the work activity.
• Ensure that permits remain valid and are properly extended/revalidated when required.
• Stop or suspend work if permit conditions are not maintained or if unsafe conditions arise.
• Coordinate permit requirements for mechanical installation, maintenance, rotating equipment and other site activities.
• Ensure proper handover of permits during shift changes where applicable.
• Maintain accurate records of issued, active, suspended and closed permits.
• Close permits properly upon completion of the work and restoration of the work area.
• Coordinate with the HSE team regarding changes in work conditions, hazards or control measures.
• Ensure compliance with SASREF PTW procedures and site safety requirements.
Mandatory Requirements
• SASREF-approved Permit Receiver – mandatory.
• Active and valid PTW authorization – mandatory.
• Previous experience working as a Permit Receiver / Permit Holder in Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical or similar industrial facilities.
• Strong working knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
• Good understanding of LOTO/isolation, gas testing and worksite safety controls.
• Experience handling permits for mechanical maintenance, construction, shutdown or turnaround activities.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Operations, HSE, Mechanical and Construction teams.
• Ability to work Day/Night shifts as required.
• Immediate availability / short-notice joining strongly preferred
