Key Responsibilities
Duct Installation — Install GI/PI ducts, flexible ducts, and accessories according to HVAC shop drawings and SMACNA standards.
Site Measurements — Take accurate measurements and mark duct routes, hanger positions, and cut lengths.
Hanger & Support Fixing — Install threaded rods, brackets, and supports ensuring proper leveling and alignment.
Duct Fabrication Adjustments — Perform minor on-site fabrication such as cutting, bending, and joining ducts.
Sealing & Insulation — Apply sealants, gaskets, tapes, and insulation to prevent leakage and maintain system efficiency.
Installation of Accessories — Fix volume dampers, access doors, turning vanes, fire dampers, and other inline components.
Coordination with Foreman — Work under HVAC/Ducting Foreman and coordinate with other trades to avoid clashes.
Compliance & Safety — Follow site safety rules, PPE requirements, and ensure safe handling of tools and materials.
Quality Checks — Ensure ducts are installed without dents, gaps, misalignment, or leakage points.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Knowledge — Understanding of HVAC ducting types, fittings, and installation standards.
Tool Handling — Skilled in using drills, snips, cutters, grinders, and measuring tools.
Drawing Interpretation — Ability to read HVAC shop drawings and follow routing plans.
Physical Fitness — Capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and under site conditions.
Team Coordination — Works efficiently with foremen, technicians, and other trades.
Typical Requirements
Experience in HVAC duct installation (2–5 years preferred).
Ability to work in remote project locations.
Valid Iqama (for Saudi projects).
Familiarity with safety procedures and PPE usage.
