Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to manage subcontractor contracts, manpower requirements, commercial obligations, and day-to-day contractual coordination for major construction and project activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in subcontract management, manpower planning, contract administration, commercial coordination, and working with multinational contractors and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete lifecycle of subcontract agreements from pre-award through close-out.
Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer subcontract agreements, work orders, variations, and amendments.
Coordinate subcontract manpower requirements in line with project schedules and production plans.
Develop and monitor manpower deployment plans for mechanical, civil, electrical, and other technical disciplines.
Coordinate subcontractor mobilization, manpower productivity, work progress, and resource requirements.
Monitor subcontractor performance against contractual requirements, schedules, KPIs, and deliverables.
Identify contractual risks, delays, claims, variations, and potential commercial exposure.
Review subcontractor invoices, progress payments, supporting documents, and payment certificates.
Support the preparation and evaluation of variation orders, claims, extensions of time, and other contractual matters.
Maintain accurate contract records, correspondence, notices, and commercial documentation.
Coordinate closely with Project Management, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Finance, and HR/Manpower teams.
Coordinate with international contractors, including Korean and Chinese EPC/construction contractors, where applicable.
Ensure subcontractors comply with project, client, HSE, quality, and contractual requirements.
Prepare regular reports covering subcontract status, manpower, commercial issues, risks, and outstanding actions.
Lead contract meetings and maintain effective relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
8–12+ years of relevant experience in contract/subcontract management.
Experience in construction, EPC, oil & gas, industrial, or major infrastructure projects.
Proven experience managing subcontractors and manpower-intensive contracts.
Strong understanding of subcontract terms, commercial administration, variations, claims, and payment procedures.
Experience with multinational contractors/EPC companies is highly desirable.
Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical engineering background will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of project planning, manpower requirements, and construction activities.
Excellent negotiation, communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages and work effectively under pressure.
Strong written and spoken English.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Korean or Chinese contractors/EPC companies.
Saudi Arabia / GCC project experience.
Experience in large-scale Projects, construction, industrial, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects.
Experience managing technical manpower subcontractors and labour supply arrangements.
Familiarity with Primavera P6 and project planning principles is an advantage.
