Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Jubail, responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment across project sites and facilities. Daily tasks include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, monitoring compliance with safety policies, and ensuring adherence to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. The Safety Officer will lead toolbox talks and safety training sessions, support incident and accident investigations, and maintain accurate records and reports. The role involves coordinating with project managers, supervisors, and workers to implement corrective actions, improve safety performance, and foster a strong safety culture. The Safety Officer may also participate in risk assessments, emergency preparedness planning, and regular safety audits.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, including familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Safety Training, including conducting toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for site personnel.
Candidates should possess understanding of Security practices related to site access control, asset protection, and coordination with security personnel.
Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
Experience in construction or industrial project environments in Jubail or similar regions is preferred.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are required.
Ability to interpret safety data, prepare reports, and use basic computer applications for documentation and tracking.
