Position: Fire Safety Engineer
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct fire & life safety engineering reviews, inspections, assessments, and field verifications.
• Review fire protection designs, drawings, specifications, and systems for compliance.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Support Civil Defense compliance, inspections, licensing, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with projects, facilities, contractors, consultants, and operations teams.
• Provide technical assurance for inspection, testing & maintenance (ITM) of fire protection systems.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, acceptance, and functional verification of fire alarm, suppression, smoke control, passive fire protection, fire doors, barriers, and egress systems.
• Support fire incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Requirements
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
🔹 Minimum 6 years’ professional experience in fire protection engineering, fire systems engineering, fire prevention, or fire & life safety compliance.
🔹 Experience with fire protection design reviews, inspections, testing, commissioning, and deficiency management.
🔹 Knowledge of SBC, NFPA, IFC, and preferably Saudi Civil Defense requirements.
🔹 Experience in complex environments such as industrial facilities, healthcare, research facilities, universities, or large campuses.
🔹 Valid Driver’s License required.
🔹 Fire safety certifications such as CFPS, CFPE, CFAITMS, CWBSP, NICET, IFE or equivalent are preferred.
🔹 PE / CEng or equivalent registration is preferred.
