Position Purpose
The Personal Cameraman is responsible for capturing high-quality photo and video content across personal activities, hunting expeditions, wildlife encounters, and falconry sessions, combining outdoor/field videography skills with strict discretion regarding the employer's private life.
Key Responsibilities
Filming & Photography
Capture professional-grade video and photography during hunting trips, falconry outings, wildlife tracking, and general personal/family occasions
Operate long-lens/telephoto camera systems for wildlife and falconry (birds in flight, fast action, distant subjects)
Use gimbals, drones, and stabilizers for aerial and moving-subject footage (e. g. , falcon flights, chase sequences, terrain shots)
Work effectively in remote, rugged, or desert terrain, and under variable light/weather conditions
Capture slow-motion and high-frame-rate footage for falconry strikes, flushes, and hunting action
Adapt quickly to unpredictable wildlife behavior and fast-moving action with minimal setup time
Editing & Content Delivery
Edit raw footage into polished highlight reels, documentary-style videos, and photo albums of hunting/falconry trips
Color grade footage to suit natural outdoor/desert tones
Deliver organized, backed-up content within agreed turnaround times
Equipment & Technical Management
Maintain and transport specialized field equipment (telephoto lenses, drones, waterproof/dustproof housings, stabilizers, backup batteries/storage for remote locations)
Ensure equipment is rugged and suited to desert, off-road, and field conditions
Manage servicing, repairs, and insurance for gear
Logistics & Fieldcraft
Travel with the employer to hunting grounds, desert camps, and falconry sites, domestically and internationally as required
Understand basic falconry and hunting etiquette to avoid disrupting the activity while filming
Coordinate with guides, falconers, or hunting party staff for positioning and safety
Plan shot lists and scout locations ahead of trips where possible
Confidentiality & Conduct
Maintain absolute discretion regarding all footage and the employer's private activities
Sign and adhere to a strict non-disclosure agreement (NDA)
Secure all footage/storage against unauthorized access, leaks, or loss
Obtain explicit approval before any content is shared, published, or used publicly
Required Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in wildlife, outdoor, or action videography (portfolio required, ideally including hunting/falconry/wildlife work)
Proficiency with telephoto/super-telephoto lenses, high-speed/slow-motion capture, drones, and stabilization rigs
Proficiency in editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut)
Physically fit and comfortable in outdoor, desert, or remote field conditions
Valid driver's license (off-road driving experience a plus); willingness to travel extensively, including internationally
