We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer – Mechanical to join our team in Saudi Arabia.
Position: Estimation Engineer – Mechanical
Experience: Minimum 5 years in mechanical estimation/tendering, preferably in the construction/contracting industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract conditions.
Analyze tender documents to identify scope, exclusions, risks, and commercial opportunities.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical works.
Prepare technical and commercial clarifications for clients.
Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for compliance with project specifications.
Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project requirements.
Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and subcontractor works.
Assist in preparing tender submissions, pricing schedules, and commercial proposals.
Maintain updated databases for material prices, labor rates, equipment costs, and subcontractor pricing.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and support post-tender negotiations and clarifications.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong experience in mechanical estimation and tendering.
Excellent knowledge of BOQs, MTOs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
Ability to analyze drawings and technical specifications.
Strong negotiation and commercial evaluation skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant estimation/tendering software.
Saudi/GCC experience is preferred.
