Overview
The Traffic Controller will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and monitoring vehicle and equipment movement across the Amiral Project construction site. The role focuses on ensuring the safe and efficient flow of trucks, heavy equipment, personnel transport, and pedestrians throughout all phases of site construction activities.
Your Role
Site Traffic Control
Direct and control the movement of vehicles, heavy equipment, and machinery within the construction site
Implement the site's Traffic Management Plan (TMP) across all active work zones
Manage entry/exit points, laydown areas, and internal haul routes
Coordinate traffic flow around ongoing construction activities, lifting operations, and excavation works
Construction Interface Coordination
Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, and HSE teams to align traffic routing with daily work schedules
Adjust traffic control measures as site conditions and work fronts change
Coordinate with crane and heavy-lift operations to ensure safe exclusion zones
Support logistics teams with delivery scheduling and vehicle staging
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all traffic control measures comply with project HSE requirements and Saudi/client standards
Inspect and maintain barricades, signage, warning lights, and directional markers
Enforce speed limits, right-of-way rules, and PPE compliance for all site traffic
Report near-misses, hazards, and traffic-related incidents immediately
Monitoring & Reporting
Conduct regular inspections of traffic control points and signage across the site
Maintain daily logs of traffic movement, incidents, and corrective actions
Prepare shift reports on traffic conditions and any disruptions
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
Promote a strong safety culture among drivers, operators, and site personnel
Support emergency response and site evacuation procedures related to traffic routes
Report all safety observations to the HSE team
About You
Experience Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in traffic control on construction or industrial project sites
Previous experience on large-scale infrastructure, oil & gas, or petrochemical projects preferred
Saudi Arabia / GCC site experience is highly desirable
Certifications
HSE/traffic safety certification preferred (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent)
Valid Saudi driving license is a plus
