Level Transmitters are instruments which are used to measure continuously the material level in tanks, silos, vessels and process equipment. Level measurement techniques are many and include radar, guided wave radar, ultrasonic, and differential pressure measurement techniques. The choice of level measuring technique depends on certain factors which include the material to be measured and process conditions. These include characteristics of the material (liquid or solid), measuring range, temperature, pressure, type of vessel, accuracy and installation considerations.
