Cargo & Baggage Handling Automation System (BHS/MHS)

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Foreman to join our team for a Cargo & Baggage Handling Automation System (BHS/MHS) project at an airport.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical installation activities for the Cargo & Baggage Handling Automation System.
Lead and manage mechanical technicians, installers, and helpers on site.
Supervise installation of conveyors, rollers, belt conveyors, transfer units, chutes, diverters, lifts, and other BHS/MHS mechanical equipment.
Ensure mechanical installation is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment for daily site activities.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, equipment drawings, and installation details.
Ensure proper alignment, leveling, assembly, installation, and adjustment of conveyor and automation equipment.
Coordinate with Electrical, Controls, IT, Civil, HVAC, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
Support mechanical testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system start-up activities.
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and ensure all punch-list items and snags are rectified.
Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain safe and organized work areas.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, work permits, airport safety regulations, and project procedures.
Monitor daily progress and report manpower, work progress, material requirements, and site issues to the Mechanical Supervisor/Project Engineer.
🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Foreman.
Experience in Cargo Handling, Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Material Handling Systems (MHS), conveyor systems, or automation projects is highly preferred.
Strong hands-on experience with conveyor and mechanical equipment installation.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and equipment layouts.
Experience in mechanical assembly, alignment, leveling, installation, and adjustment of automated material handling equipment.
Experience supporting pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
Strong manpower supervision and site coordination skills.
Good knowledge of HSE and quality requirements.
Ability to work effectively with Electrical and Controls teams.
