We are seeking a skilled Rigger specializing in Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects. You will be responsible for rigging operations related to deep foundation piling, anchor cage placement, structural steel tower assembly, and heavy lifting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and set up all rigging gear (slings, shackles, spreader beams, wire ropes, and chain blocks) prior to lifting.
Signal crane operators (using standard hand signals and radio communications) for precise placement of piling rigs, reinforcement cages, and heavy equipment.
Assist in the safe positioning and installation of pile rebar cages and foundation anchor bolts for tower bases.
Rig, hoist, and position heavy structural lattice tower sections during assembly and erection.
Secure load attachments, calculate sling angles, and ensure load weights remain well within safe working limits (SWL).
Inspect rigging hardware daily for wear, damage, or defect and maintain lifting logs.
Enforce strict on-site safety standards, including exclusion zone enforcement during critical lifts.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Rigger on OHTL projects (specifically high-voltage lattice towers and foundation works).
Certification: Certified Rigger (Level 1 / Level 2 or regional equivalent certification).
Skills: Deep understanding of load charts, rigging hardware specifications, signal protocols, and heavy lifting safety regulations.
Physical Capability: Ability to work comfortably at heights (for tower erection) and under outdoor environmental conditions.
Safety: In-depth knowledge of OSHA / local lifting safety regulations and stop-work authority protocols.
