We are seeking an experienced Vibro Hammer Operator to manage hydraulic and electric vibratory pile driving equipment for foundation projects. You will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining vibro hammers mounted on cranes or excavators to drive and extract steel casings, sheet piles, and foundation piles safely and efficiently according to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation: Safely operate vibro hammer equipment (excavator-mounted or crane-suspended) to drive and extract piles, casings, and sheet piles to specified depth levels.
System Monitoring: Monitor hydraulic pressures, frequency settings, and power pack metrics to ensure optimal penetration rates and prevent pile or equipment damage.
Pre-Operation Inspections: Perform daily checks on power packs, hydraulic hoses, clamps, jaw linings, and lifting lugs prior to initiating driving operations.
Rigging & Coordination: Work closely with riggers, crane operators, and site supervisors to line up piles accurately and secure clamping mechanisms before operation.
Routine Maintenance: Carry out basic field maintenance, including greasing, topping up fluids, replacing worn jaw pads, and identifying mechanical or hydraulic leaks.
Safety Adherence: Strictly follow heavy lifting and foundation safety guidelines, maintain safe working distances, and manage emergency shut-off controls when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating vibratory pile drivers/hammers on civil infrastructure, foundation, or utility projects.
Certifications: Valid Heavy Equipment Operator License or certified Vibro Hammer / Piling Equipment Operator card (as required by regional authority).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, clamp mechanisms, pile positioning, and soil resistance response.
Skills: Good hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, and clear radio/hand signal communication with ground crews.
