Geek Window Cleaning began with a leap of faith. In 2007, after years working as an account manager in IT, Kyle Ray realized the corporate world wasn’t where he belonged. He kept thinking back to his high-school job cleaning windows—the fresh air, the changing scenery, the satisfaction of giving someone a clearer view of their world.
Entrepreneurship was in Kyle’s DNA. He grew up watching his mother run her own bread-baking business, learning firsthand the value of grit, creativity, and independence. Those lessons stuck. Eventually, he traded his cubicle for a squeegee, bartended on weekends to make ends meet, and started cleaning windows one Houston home at a time.
Kyle didn’t have a marketing degree or formal business training—just a problem-solver’s mindset, a love for people, and the determination to build something meaningful for the Houston community. He knocked on doors, studied business day and night, and learned by doing.
What began as a side hustle has grown into Houston’s #1 residential window cleaning service, now proudly serving both Houston and Austin. In 2015, Kyle introduced the Always Clean Program, the first subscription-based window cleaning model in the industry—giving homeowners sparkling windows year-round for as little as $29/month.
The name Geek Window Cleaning? That’s personal too. Kyle is a lifelong sci-fi geek who wanted a brand that reflects who he is: curious, innovative, and unapologetically different.
From one bucket and ladder to a multi-city operation with a passionate team, this journey has always been about more than clean windows—it’s about honoring family roots, serving local homeowners with heart, and proving what’s possible when you take the leap.
