Role Overview
Averroës Academy is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Accounting Teacher to teach middle and senior grades in both online and on‑campus modes. The ideal candidate must have strong subject expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to teach accounting concepts with clarity and real‑world application.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Engaging Lessons : Teach Accounting, Finance, and related business subjects across different grade levels.
Prepare Lesson Plans : Develop structured lesson plans, presentations, financial models, and accounting practice sets.
Conduct Assessments : Create quizzes, tests, assignments, and evaluate student performance regularly.
Support Student Learning : Provide academic guidance, extra sessions, and exam preparation.
Maintain Classroom Discipline : Ensure a respectful, safe, and productive learning environment.
Use Digital Tools : Teach effectively using spreadsheets, accounting software, presentations, and LMS platforms.
Collaborate with Faculty : Work with the academic team to improve teaching quality.
Practical Activities : Conduct ledger practice, financial statement preparation, budgeting exercises, and project‑based learning.
Must Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Accounting or Business subjects.
Strong command of English for clear and effective lesson delivery.
Excellent subject knowledge (financial accounting, cost accounting, bookkeeping, financial statements).
Ability to teach using digital tools, spreadsheets, and LMS systems.
Required Skills & Experience
Subject Expertise : Strong understanding of accounting cycles, ledgers, trial balance, financial statements, and auditing basics.
Teaching Skills : Ability to simplify complex accounting concepts and ensure concept clarity.
Assessment Skills : Experience designing tests aligned with learning standards.
Digital Literacy : Skilled in spreadsheets, accounting tools, online classes, and digital worksheets.
Communication Skills : Clear, professional, student‑friendly communication.
Professional Conduct : Punctuality, discipline, and a positive attitude toward students.
