Position: Fiber Optic Technician

We are looking for an experienced SEC-approved Fiber Optic Technician with strong hands-on experience in SAS and PDS cabling, fiber installation, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and FTTH network deployment.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Valid SEC approval/certification as a Fiber Optic Technician.
- Hands-on experience in SAS and PDS cabling solutions.
- Hands-on experience in FTTH installation and maintenance.
- Experience in FTTH OSP/ISP fiber cable installation and routing.
- Knowledge of FTTH FDT, FAT, FDB, ODF, DP, and termination points.
- Experience with Fiber Distribution Boxes (FDB), Fiber Access Terminals (FAT), and Fiber Distribution Terminals (FDT).
- Installation and termination of FTTH drop cables.
- Strong experience in Fusion Splicing and fiber joint closures.
- Experience with OTDR testing, trace analysis, and fault troubleshooting.
- Experience with LSPM / Optical Power Meter testing and link-loss measurement.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot fiber breaks, high loss, bending loss, connector issues, and splice loss.
- Knowledge of FTTH customer premises installation (CPE), including ONT/ONU installation and basic configuration.
- Experience with fiber patch cords, pigtails, splitters, adapters, and couplers.
- Knowledge of PON/GPON/EPON/FTTH architecture.
- Experience with 1:8, 1:16, 1:32 and 1:64 optical splitters.
- Ability to read FTTH network drawings, fiber route plans, cable schedules, and SLDs.
- Proper fiber labeling, cable dressing, route identification, and documentation.
- Preparation of OTDR, power meter, splicing, and fiber test reports.
- Experience working on SEC projects and standards is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work at project sites and meet project deadlines.
- Valid Saudi Iqama/transferable status is preferred.
