Detailed Job Responsibilities

- Conduct daily HSE site inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments, JSA/JHA, Method Statements, and HSE procedures.
- Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and safety awareness briefings for workers and supervisors.
- Monitor and control Permit to Work (PTW) activities and verify that required precautions are implemented before work starts.
- Ensure workers properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Monitor high-risk activities such as:
- Work at Height
- Confined Space Entry
- Hot Work
- Lifting Operations
- Excavation and Trenching
- Electrical Work
- Scaffolding
- Grinding and Cutting
- HVAC and Mechanical Installation
- Inspect scaffolds, ladders, harnesses, power tools, electrical equipment, lifting accessories, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment.
- Verify proper barricading, signage, access/egress, housekeeping, and safe working areas.
- Monitor workers for compliance with site safety rules and immediately address unsafe practices.
- Exercise Stop Work Authority when an activity presents an immediate danger to workers, equipment, or property.
- Assist in incident, accident, near-miss, and property-damage investigations.
- Collect facts, interview witnesses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow up on corrective actions until safety observations and non-conformities are properly closed.
- Conduct emergency preparedness activities and drills, including fire and evacuation drills.
- Check availability and accessibility of emergency equipment, fire extinguishers, first-aid facilities, and emergency exits.
- Conduct regular PPE inspections and advise workers on correct PPE selection and usage.
- Coordinate with supervisors and engineers before starting critical or high-risk activities.
- Attend HSE meetings and communicate safety performance, observations, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, inspection checklists, observation reports, and safety statistics.
- Maintain proper records of PTWs, TBTs, inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Support implementation of company and client HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Promote a positive safety culture and encourage workers to report hazards and near misses.
- Provide safety orientation and induction training to new workers and subcontractors.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe material storage throughout the worksite.
- Coordinate with management to continuously improve workplace safety and prevent accidents.
