We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Construction to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of construction projects, quantity surveying, cost management, estimation, contracts, and commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and cost plans from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Measure and verify quantities from drawings and site works.
Review and analyze material costs, labor rates, subcontractor quotations, and supplier prices.
Prepare and evaluate variation orders, change orders, and site instructions.
Prepare interim payment applications, valuations, and supporting documentation.
Monitor project costs, expenditures, and budget performance.
Assist with subcontractor and main contract administration.
Prepare monthly commercial reports, cost reconciliation, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts.
Review subcontractor claims and assess payment applications.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, contractors, and suppliers.
Ensure commercial activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements and contract conditions.
Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, variations, claims, and project documentation.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / QS Engineer in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction materials, pricing, estimation, and cost control.
Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, valuation, variations, and final accounts.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
Strong MS Excel skills and familiarity with quantity surveying/cost management software.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Locally available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner preferred.
Previous Bahrain/GCC construction experience is an advantage.
