We are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in construction estimation, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, material pricing, subcontractor quotations, and project cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and material quantity take-offs for construction projects.
Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to determine project quantities and requirements.
Analyze project specifications, drawings, scope of work, and tender documents.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare detailed material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations and identify the most competitive options.
Monitor current market prices for construction materials and services.
Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules, and commercial proposals.
Assist in preparing project budgets and cost plans.
Identify potential cost risks, discrepancies, and scope variations.
Coordinate with procurement, quantity surveying, engineering, and project teams.
Maintain an organized database of supplier/subcontractor rates and historical project costs.
Support the preparation of variation and additional work estimates when required.
Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within required deadlines.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, Estimation Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing.
Excellent understanding of BOQ preparation and quantity take-off.
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Experience in preparing construction tenders and commercial quotations.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel and estimation/costing software.
Good analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Previous Bahrain/GCC construction experience is an advantage.
Must be currently available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiners are preferred.
