Job Title- Senior Surveyor Mining

Job Purpose
Ensures that survey equipment is maintained in proper work order at all times, set-up correctly for operation and needed survey material and supplies are replenished regularly.Operates surveying equipment such as theodolite, laser levels, etc., takes measurements, collects survey data, records it and raises to supervisor for further processing.
Uses survey equipment to establish sight points, determines elevations, distances, etc. for mining operations.Operates surveying equipment such as theodolite, laser levels, etc., takes measurements, collects survey data, records it and raises to supervisor for further processing.Records collected data and performs calculations on such data and raises to supervisor for further processing.Prepares hand drawings of surveyed areas indicating elevations, distances, transitions, etc.Inputs data onto SURPAC system for analysis and development of plans and information for future mining.Ensures that survey equipment is maintained in proper work order at all times, set-up correctly for operation and needed survey material and supplies are replenished regularly.Observes safety regulations and ensures that Helpers comply with such instructions.Carries out similar or other related duties as required.Works according to well-defined procedures and craft standards. Keeps supervisor advised of work progress and completed work is checked closely.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of Secondary education (12 years) followed by 2 years formal training leading to a diploma in surveying technology.
Minimum Experience: 5 years’ experience in surveying with the mining industry.6 Years Relevant Previous Industries
