Job Purpose
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the complete accounting function of two companies and related projects, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulations, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role covers the entire accounting cycle from transaction processing to financial reporting and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
• Manage the complete accounting cycle for two companies and assigned projects.
• Record all accounting transactions in SAP accurately and on a timely basis.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany accounts, supplier and customer balances.
• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, and inventory accounting.
• Ensure proper supporting documentation for all financial transactions.
Financial Reporting
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in management reports, schedules, and variance analysis.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Support project profitability and cost monitoring.
• Analyze financial data and highlight key business risks and opportunities.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Review supplier invoices and process payments.
• Monitor customer collections and aging reports.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams regarding outstanding transactions.
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer reconciliations.
Project Accounting
• Monitor project costs and budgets.
• Record project-related expenses and allocations.
• Prepare project financial reports and cost analysis.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment of capital and operating expenditures.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Ensure compliance with ZATCA requirements, including e-Invoicing.
• Assist in withholding tax calculations and filings.
• Support Zakat and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies.
Audit & Internal Controls
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with delegation of authority and company policies.
SAP & Systems
• Perform daily SAP accounting entries.
• Support SAP month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Coordination & Administration
• Liaise with banks, auditors, government authorities, consultants, and business departments.
• Support finance projects and system implementations.
• Maintain accounting documentation and records.
• Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (SOCPA, ACCA, MBA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience
• 5–7 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and project accounting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, ZATCA regulations, and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (FI/CO).
• Experience managing multiple entities simultaneously.
