Workshop Incharge
We are looking for an experienced Civil Works Workshop In-Charge who will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling all workshop activities related to civil construction works and project requirements.

Required Experience
The candidate should have strong experience in civil construction workshop operations, fabrication, steel and metal works, aluminum and glass works, cladding, equipment/tool maintenance, and workshop manpower supervision, preferably with experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the civil works workshop.
Plan and allocate workshop activities based on project priorities and site requirements.
Supervise fabrication, repair, modification, and maintenance of civil-related items and equipment.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Engineers, and Supervisors regarding workshop requirements.
Review drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure fabrication is carried out correctly.
Supervise the fabrication of steel structures, metal works, aluminum and glass works, cladding, metal boxes, supports, frames, brackets, and other project-related items, as applicable.
Ensure all fabricated items meet approved drawings, dimensions, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and approval of fabricated items before dispatch to site.
Plan manpower requirements and effectively allocate skilled and unskilled workers.
Supervise welders, fabricators, fitters, carpenters, technicians, and helpers working in the workshop.
Monitor productivity and ensure workshop activities are completed within the required schedule.
Ensure availability of required raw materials, tools, equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
Coordinate with the procurement and stores teams for timely availability of materials.
Control material usage and minimize wastage, damage, and unnecessary rework.
Maintain proper records of workshop materials, tools, equipment, manpower, production, and completed works.
Ensure all workshop machinery, tools, lifting equipment, and electrical equipment are properly maintained and safe to use.
Coordinate the proper packing, protection, loading, and transportation of fabricated items to project sites.
Provide technical support to site teams for fabrication, repair, and modification requirements.
Attend to urgent site requirements and breakdowns and arrange timely workshop support.
Ensure proper housekeeping, material storage, and organization within the workshop.
Implement company and project HSE requirements, including PPE, safe working practices, lifting operations, hot work, and fire prevention.
Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers understand the relevant safety requirements.
Immediately report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, and equipment damage to management.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly workshop progress reports.
Monitor workshop costs and assist management in controlling unnecessary expenses.
Identify production delays, technical issues, manpower shortages, and material constraints and report them to management with suitable recommendations.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and timely completion of workshop activities.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, company procedures, and client requirements.
Perform any other duties related to workshop operations assigned by management.
