DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

● Preparing NCR for coating non-conformance to specification and discussing with the Project QC Manager for corrective
or preventive action.
● Witnessing and carrying out abrasive material storage with chemical analysis and sieve analysis reports.
● Visual inspection of finished product.
● Pre-checking weather condition, surface temperature, ambient temperature, dew point, and relative humidity prior to and
during coating/painting activities and when weather changes suddenly.
● Checking surface preparation, coating quality, holiday detection, WFT, DFT, weather conditions, application and final
inspection.
● Conducting visual inspection of all equipment to ensure it is calibrated and in good operating condition.
● Conducting in-process and final inspection of painted/coated pipe surfaces, including platforms, before delivery and site
installation.
● Monitoring weather conditions for surface preparation and coating application, and coordinating construction work per
job specifications and Saudi Aramco standards.
● Ensuring adequate precautions are taken to protect works from weather and other hazards.
● Maintaining project specifications to reach required quality standards.
● Performing material receiving inspection, verification documentation and ensuring good storage conditions.
● Verifying the validity of calibration certificates for all inspection tools and equipment before and during work execution.
● Coordinating, witnessing and documenting painting activities through daily inspection reports, RFIs, inspection and
documentation.
● Coordinating blasting and painting work to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.
● Witnessing blaster/painter tests and issuing qualification cards.
● Monitoring and verifying blasting and painting quality (weather conditions, surface profile, paint thickness, holiday
detection tests, etc.) for compliance with project standards.
● Ensuring surface preparation and application are conducted per the specified painting system standard/procedure.
● Visual inspection of blasting profile, painting and profile.
● Examining WFT during paint application and measuring DFT on the dry, cured paint surface.

4. Ensuring the contractor is fully executing and complying with the contracted scope of work.
5. Coordinating required inspections with local jurisdictions.
6. Applying relevant Saudi Aramco engineering standards and specifications for painting/coating along with other relevant
international standards.
7. Processing work orders/job requests and determining daily, weekly and monthly priorities.
8. Making appropriate work assignments to personnel and establishing a contingency plan when personnel are absent.
9. Monitoring work assignments through on-the-job observation and feedback from site personnel.
10.Informing the superior of problem areas or issues in work completion.
11.Identifying subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health and environmental quality standards.
12.Identifying conflicts in construction progress and communicating them to the project team for resolution.
13.Maintaining a daily log of site activities.
14.Performing superintendent duties across multiple job sites simultaneously.
15.Ensuring the subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team.
16.Walking all units on the project daily to monitor activity and assist in future planning.
17.Presiding over weekly subcontractor meetings to coordinate the work.
18.Issuing notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
