I believe marriage should be a mutual decision between two people, not something a daughter or son is pressured into accepting. I’ve personally had a difficult experience in the past where family pressure and a lack of genuine willingness played a major role in the marriage, and it taught me an important lesson.

I have complete respect for parents and their role in the process, but I believe their blessing should come after the couple’s mutual acceptance, not instead of it.
