We are looking for a Cost Engineer to support cost control and project controls activities for an oil & gas pipeline project. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with prior experience on Saudi Aramco projects highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control project costs against the approved budget.
Track actual costs, commitments, accruals, and forecast costs.
Prepare monthly, weekly, and periodic cost reports for project management.
Assist in preparing project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
Monitor cost performance and identify cost variances and potential overruns.
Prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC) forecasts.
Track purchase orders, subcontract commitments, invoices, and expenditures.
Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Contracts, Construction, Engineering, and Finance teams.
Monitor and evaluate the cost impact of variations, change orders, and claims.
Review subcontractor and vendor cost submissions.
Maintain accurate cost-control records and databases.
Support project management in identifying cost-saving opportunities and corrective actions.
Assist with monthly project performance reviews and client reporting.
Ensure compliance with company and project cost-control procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant Cost Engineering/Cost Control experience.
Experience in oil & gas, pipeline, EPC, or construction projects.
Previous experience on Saudi Aramco projects is highly preferred.
Knowledge of project budgeting, cost forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Experience with commitments, accruals, subcontractor costs, variations, and change management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project cost-control software.
Knowledge of Primavera P6, SAP, Oracle, EcoSys, or similar project-control systems is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with Saudi Aramco project experience and a background in pipeline construction or major oil & gas EPC projects will be given preference.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience on major oil & gas pipeline projects, EPC projects, and client-controlled projects will be highly preferred.
