Cathodic Protection Engineer – NACE/AMPP CP Level 2 – Oil & Gas Pipeline

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Cathodic Protection (CP) Engineer/Technician – NACE CP Level 2 to support cathodic protection activities for oil & gas pipeline projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for CP installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, surveys, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.

Previous experience on Saudi Aramco projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Perform cathodic protection inspection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for pipelines.
Conduct CP surveys, including pipe-to-soil potential measurements, close interval surveys, and other required field measurements.
Inspect and monitor rectifiers, anode beds, test stations, reference electrodes, and CP cables.
Verify CP system installation in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Carry out CP system testing and commissioning and prepare test reports.
Identify inadequate protection, interference, coating defects, and other CP-related issues.
Analyze field readings and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain accurate CP survey records, inspection reports, and commissioning documentation.
Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, corrosion, electrical, and pipeline teams.
Ensure CP activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Support final inspection, punch-list clearance, and project handover activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
NACE/AMPP Cathodic Protection Level 2 certification is required.
Minimum 3 years of relevant cathodic protection experience, preferably in oil & gas pipeline projects.
Saudi Aramco project experience is highly preferred.
Practical experience with impressed-current and sacrificial-anode CP systems.
Knowledge of pipeline CP testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and survey techniques.
Familiarity with applicable NACE/AMPP standards and client specifications.
Ability to interpret CP drawings, specifications, and test results.
Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in field and construction environments.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with NACE/AMPP CP Level 2 certification and previous Saudi Aramco pipeline project experience will be given preference.
