About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer – Fire Protection Systems to join the technical team of a leading organization in the Fire Protection and Safety Engineering industry.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in fire protection system design and estimation, particularly water-based fire suppression and fire alarm systems. The candidate should have strong knowledge of applicable NFPA and IS standards and the ability to independently prepare technical and commercial proposals.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand project requirements through discussions with clients and sales teams.
• Analyze architectural drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documents.
• Prepare system BOMs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Design fire protection systems in accordance with applicable NFPA and IS standards.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals, design write-ups, and schematic drawings.
• Prepare estimates for:
o Sprinkler Systems
o Hydrant Systems
o Pump Rooms
o High & Medium Velocity Water Spray Systems
o Water Mist Systems
o Fire Alarm Systems
• Conduct site surveys and participate in client meetings when required.
• Coordinate with sales, design, procurement, and project execution teams.
• Evaluate material and installation costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Ensure technical proposals comply with client specifications and applicable fire-safety standards.
• Provide technical clarifications to clients and internal teams during the estimation and proposal stage.
Required Skills & Experience
• Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in fire protection system design and estimation.
• Strong hands-on experience with water-based fire suppression systems and fire alarm systems.
• Good knowledge of:
o NFPA 13
o NFPA 15
o NFPA 72
o NFPA 750
o Relevant IS standards
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection equipment, systems, materials, and installation requirements.
• Experience in preparing BOQs, BOMs, cost estimates, and techno-commercial offers.
• Good communication, coordination, and client-handling skills.
• Good command of English.

A technically strong Fire Protection Engineer with proven experience in estimation and system design, who can independently understand project requirements, prepare accurate estimates and technical proposals, coordinate with clients and internal teams, and ensure compliance with applicable fire-safety standards.
