Core Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Sales Pipeline: Identify and prospect new B2B clients (e.g., exporters, importers, e-commerce brands) requiring freight, warehousing, and distribution solutions.
RFP & Tender Management: Lead the end-to-end bidding process, including analyzing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), designing competitive rate structures, and collaborating with pricing and operations teams to submit winning proposals.
Market Analysis & Expansion: Research industry trends, competitor pricing, and emerging trade lanes to identify untapped growth sectors (e.g., cold chain logistics, specialized cargo, or digital freight solutions).
Cross-Selling & Account Growth: Partner with account management and operations teams to upsell additional logistics services (such as customs clearance, last-mile delivery, or value-added warehousing) to existing clients.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs), pricing terms, and contract conditions with prospective clients while safeguarding company profitability.
Strategic Networking: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships with key decision-makers (Supply Chain Directors, Procurement Heads).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
New Revenue Generation: Total freight or contract value secured from new clients.
Pipeline Growth: Volume and quality of qualified leads generated monthly/quarterly.
Win/Loss Ratio: Percentage of submitted RFPs and pitches successfully converted into active accounts.
Gross Margin Targets: Ensuring acquired business meets company profitability thresholds.
