Junior Finance Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Finance Officer to support our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of basic accounting principles, strong Excel skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records. Experience in Bahrain is an advantage. Similar Bahrain job postings commonly emphasize AP/AR, reconciliations, invoicing, reporting, Excel, and VAT-related support.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily accounting and finance transactions.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and related documents.
Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.
Perform bank and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records, journals, and ledgers.
Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities.
Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
Maintain petty cash and monitor company expenses.
Assist with VAT documentation and compliance requirements.
Support internal and external audit requirements.
Maintain proper filing of financial documents.
Coordinate with other departments regarding finance-related matters.
Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
1–2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting is preferred.
Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, ERP, or similar is an advantage.
Knowledge of Bahrain VAT and local accounting procedures is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Must be locally available in Bahrain.
Immediate joiner or available on short notice is preferred.
Previous Bahrain/GCC experience is an advantage.
