Nature of Job (Main Duties and Responsibility)

The Safety officer is in a key position in the organizational structure to carry out safety and
prevent injuries to workers. Safety Officer is always aware of his duty to keep the employees
under his direction away from harm & injury.

⮚ Conduct daily and weekly safety toolbox meetings.
⮚ Hot work, Cold work, Confined space.
⮚ Heavy Lifting work, Work at height, Excavation.
⮚ Monitor lifting actives to ensure compliance to the lifting plan.
⮚ Conduct safety inspection to ensure compliance to the work permit, PPE, Housekeeping and
other
⮚ General safety requirements and report all safety violations/non-compliance for corrective
action.
 Conduct regular inspections of fire protection equipment to assure its proper placement and
operational reliability.
 Assist safety officer to find the safety observation.
 Monitoring of work permit to ensure all activities Applying permit system.
 Conduct safety orientation to sustain the safety awareness among the employees.
 Setup and Maintain an Accident/Incident database.
 Conduct investigation on accidents/incidents & prepare reports and advise safety measures
to prevent
 Ensure materials, equipment, and healthy environment & maintain the safe working
condition on site.
 Monitor critical activities in chemical areas and provide guidance for safe execution of the
task.
 Verify all scaffolding is tagged and a safe condition.
 Closely monitor high risk activities; confined space entry, lifting activities, work at height,
movement of abnormal loads etc.
