Medical Gas Technician will be responsible for Install, maintain, and
repair the equipment used to provide medical gases to patients in
hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities including but not
limited to oxygen tanks, breathing masks, anesthesia machines, and
other devices that help doctors and nurses provide quality care to their
patients.
Basic Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, repair, weld and overhaul all medical gas vacuum
pumps and compressors, liquid oxygen systems, gas cylinders,
regulators, zone boxes, medical gas outlets, line pressure alarm
and other systems related to medical gas distribution .
• Perform all PPM work on medical gas equipment and systems .
• Check all medical gas systems on a daily basis such as gauges,
pressures regulating valves, vacuum pumps, compressors,
manifolds and pipe work to ensure proper operation .
• Maintain an adequate reserve of full medical gas cylinders at all
times.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the
realm of his knowledge, skills and abilities .
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the CEO, Directors, Managers
Requirements
• Associate Diploma in Mechanical/ Piping/ Plumbing from a
technical college or equivalent
• Candidates with ASSE 6010/ 6020/ 6030/ 6040/ 6050 and 6005
Certification will be preferred.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical school
training, or equivalent on-the-job experience
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the relevant field
• Strong attention to detail and safety regulations
• English competency level
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Flexible schedule and availability for on-call duties
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and work in
small, cramped spaces and at heights
