Requirements:
• Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) from a recognized university.
• Aramco Approval: Must possess active or prior official Saudi Aramco approval as a Pre-Commissioning Manager.
• Experience: Minimum 15+ years of Oil & Gas experience in pipeline execution, with at least 5 years specifically leading pre-commissioning and commissioning scopes for major cross-country pipeline projects.
• Aramco Background: In-depth working knowledge of Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards (SAES-A-004, SAES-L-150, SAES-L-450, etc.), SAEPs, Schedule Q, and Safety General Instructions.
• Technical Software & Equipment: Hands-on technical mastery of high-pressure test pumps, air compressors, nitrogen pumping units, pressure/temperature recorders, and dew-point analyzers.
Role & Responsibilities:
•Pre-Commissioning Leadership: Plan, execute, and direct all pre-commissioning operational scopes across cross-country pipeline spreads, valve stations, scraper launchers/receivers, and associated facilities.
•Procedure & Package Development: Formulate, review, and finalize pre-commissioning philosophy documents, testing procedures, hydrotest packages, air drying/purging plans, and safety risk assessments for client approval.
•Hydrotest & Inspection Operations: Oversee pipeline filling, cleaning (scraping/batching), gauging pig runs, strength/leak hydrostatic testing, dewatering, and intelligent caliper pigging runs in accordance with approved SAES standards.
•Drying & Nitrogen Purging: Direct chemical cleaning, air drying, vacuum drying, and nitrogen purging operations to meet required dew-point criteria and prevent internal corrosion prior to handover.
•Safety & Permit Governance: Enforce absolute adherence to the Saudi Aramco Work Permit System (WPS), Safety General Instructions (GIs), and high-pressure testing safety protocols during all site operations.
•Aramco & Third-Party Liaison: Serve as the primary technical contact for Saudi Aramco PMT, PID, and specialized pre-commissioning subcontractors/vendors, coordinating witness points and securing test certificates.
•Documentation & Handover: Compile, verify, and present comprehensive pre-commissioning dossiers, test charts, drying reports, and system readiness certificates for formal handover to the commissioning team.
