Requirements:
 Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
 10+ years experience in oil and gas, refining and/or petrochemicals with major contractor, consultant
or operator, predominantly performing design, commissioning and operations
 Detailed knowledge of design techniques, analysis methods, theory, and application of standards,
codes and guidelines as applicable.
 Knowledgeable in project coordination and execution skills.

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer for a short duration assignment to support the
assessment and recovery of a petrochemical facility impacted by fire and explosion damage. The successful
candidate will perform field inspections, evaluate damage, recommend repair or replacement actions, and
document findings for instrumentation and control systems throughout the facility. This role requires a
strong background in instrumentation and controls, the ability to work safely in challenging field conditions,
and excellent organisational skills for detailed tracking and reporting.

The candidate will:
• Conduct field inspections and condition assessments of instrumentation associated with process plants,
including distillation columns, reactors, drums, heat exchangers, fired heaters, compressors, pumps
and blowers and related instrumentation, including pressure, flow, and temperature transmitters, gas
detectors, analysers, tubing, cabling, and junction boxes.
• Evaluate instrument and control system damage resulting from fire, explosion events and water spray,
develop repair and replacement recommendations, and document findings in detailed spreadsheets and
inspection reports.
• Assess instrumentation infrastructure from field devices through home-run cabling and junction boxes
to the central control room and Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring complete scope coverage
and identification of restoration requirements.
• The ideal candidate will possess significant industrial instrumentation experience in petrochemical or
refining environments, demonstrate strong troubleshooting and documentation capabilities, and be
comfortable working both in the field and office. Candidates must be physically fit and capable of
performing inspections in demanding onshore environments while maintaining a high level of attention
to detail and safety compliance.
