Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Government Relations Officer (PRO) with a strong background in the construction/engineering industry in Saudi Arabia.

The candidate will be responsible for managing government relations, maintaining company licenses and certificates, supporting construction projects with permits and NOCs, and handling government inspections, violations, rectification requirements, fines, and other external administrative matters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government Relations
* Maintain effective working relationships with relevant Saudi government authorities and regulatory bodies.
* Represent and support the company in government-related administrative matters.
* Follow up with government authorities to resolve pending, urgent, or exceptional issues.
2. Company Licenses & Certificates
* Manage, renew, and maintain the company’s licenses, registrations, qualifications, certificates, and other statutory documents.
* Monitor expiry dates and ensure all required documents remain valid and compliant.
* Coordinate with relevant authorities for amendments, renewals, and new applications.
3. Construction Permits & NOCs
* Support construction projects in applying for and obtaining required construction permits, NOCs (No Objection Certificates), approvals, and related licenses.
* Coordinate with municipalities, government authorities, utility/service authorities, and other relevant entities.
* Follow up on applications until final approval is obtained.
4. Government Inspections, Violations & Fines
* Handle government inspection findings, violation notices, rectification requirements, penalties, and fines.
* Coordinate internally with project teams and externally with authorities to resolve compliance issues.
* Respond quickly to urgent government-related incidents and minimize their impact on project operations.
5. Government Platforms & Systems
* Operate and maintain relevant Saudi government portals and electronic systems.
* Follow up on applications, approvals, renewals, and government transactions through the relevant platforms.
6. External Coordination
* Coordinate with external government-related service providers when required.
* Maintain proper records of government correspondence, applications, approvals, licenses, permits, and other official documents.
* Provide regular status updates to management regarding pending government matters.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree or above.
* Male, preferably 25–40 years old.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Saudi Arabia.
* Previous experience in a construction, engineering, contracting, or project-based company is strongly required/preferred.
* Hands-on experience in maintaining company licenses, registrations, qualifications, and certificates.
* Practical experience in processing construction permits, NOCs, and government approvals.
* Experience handling government inspections, violations, rectification notices, penalties, and fines.
* Familiar with Saudi government procedures, regulations, and relevant electronic platforms.
* Strong communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
* Able to independently communicate and follow up with government authorities.
* Arabic: Fluent/native-level preferred.
* English: Good working proficiency.
* Good computer and Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with direct experience working for large construction contractors, engineering companies, or major projects in Saudi Arabia will be given priority.
