Scam Alert: Watch out for fake Kafala / Qiwa services!
Please be aware of a scammer named Hassan offering Kafeel (sponsorship) transfer services.
How the scam works:
He asks for a small upfront fee of 200 SAR to look genuine.
He sends a legitimate request on Qiwa to gain your trust.
Once you accept, he asks you to pay the official transfer fee.
The Trap: Shortly after, he calls claiming there are "government restrictions" and warns you NOT to pay from your own bank account, or MOL (Maktab Amal) will flag both you and the sponsor for paying from staff account
He then asks you to transfer the money to a "business account." This is actually an Urpay account (Urpay usually displays "GLOBAL..." as the beneficiary name instead of real names for anyone).
Once you transfer the money, he stalls for a couple of days and then blocks you on WhatsApp and phone calls.
Many people have already lost their money to this exact scheme. Do not fall for it!
