Key Responsibilities Clinical Assessment
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools.
Evaluate cognitive, behavioral, emotional, social, and developmental functioning.
Prepare detailed psychological assessment reports with recommendations.
Intervention & Therapy
Provide individual therapy sessions for children with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health concerns.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Parent Training, and Social Skills Training.
Monitor progress and modify intervention plans as required.
Parent & Family Counseling
Educate and counsel parents regarding their child's psychological and developmental needs.
Provide behavior management strategies for home implementation.
Conduct parent guidance and psychoeducation sessions.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
Work closely with Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Special Educators, Physiotherapists, Pediatricians, and other professionals.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.
Coordinate with schools and teachers when required.
Documentation
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and therapy notes.
Prepare psychological reports and progress summaries.
Ensure confidentiality of patient information and compliance with ethical standards.
Program Development
Conduct awareness programs, workshops, and seminars for parents, schools, and the community.
Assist in developing child mental health and developmental programs.
Professional Development
Stay updated with current research and best practices in child psychology.
Participate in continuing education, training, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
Master's Degree/B SC (M.A./M.Sc.) in Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology, Child Psychology, or Counseling Psychology.
Experience
2-5 years of experience working with children in hospitals, therapy centers, schools, rehabilitation centers, or child development clinics.
