Position: Filipino General Nurse / Registered General Nurse

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing safe, comprehensive, and patient-centered nursing care in accordance with Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) standards, hospital policies, and established nursing procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess patients’ physical and clinical conditions and monitor vital signs regularly.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications safely through oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, and other authorized routes.
• Perform IV cannulation, IV therapy, wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, and other nursing procedures within the authorized scope of practice.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition, adverse reactions, and complications and promptly report significant findings to the physician or nurse in charge.
• Assist physicians during patient examinations, diagnostic procedures, treatments, and minor medical procedures.
• Provide direct patient care and assist patients with activities of daily living when required.
• Collect, label, and handle blood, urine, and other specimens according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, including vital signs, medications, treatments, patient responses, and nursing interventions.
• Conduct proper patient handover and communicate relevant clinical information to incoming nursing staff.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and participate in CPR, Code Blue, and other emergency procedures according to hospital protocols.
• Follow medication safety, infection prevention and control, patient safety, and occupational health and safety standards.
• Educate patients and their families regarding medications, treatment plans, health conditions, discharge instructions, and home care.
• Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, dignity, and respect at all times.
• Ensure proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and availability of nursing equipment and medical supplies.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, laboratory staff, pharmacists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Participate in quality improvement programs, staff training, continuing education, and departmental activities.
• Assist in orienting new nursing staff and nursing students when assigned.
• Maintain required professional licenses, certifications, competencies, and continuing professional development.
• Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager, Head Nurse, or Charge Nurse within the authorized scope of practice.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or recognized nursing qualification.
• Valid professional nursing license/registration in the Philippines.
• Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) professional classification and registration, as required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on the clinical area.
• Relevant clinical nursing experience is preferred.
• Good communication, critical-thinking, clinical judgment, teamwork, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
