A leading construction company in the Kingdom of Bahrain is seeking a locally available, qualified, and experienced Planning Engineer to join its team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) based on project drawings, scope, and construction activities.
• Develop baseline programs, target milestones, and project execution schedules.
• Monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules.
• Collect and verify daily/weekly progress information from site teams.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Identify delays, slippages, critical activities, and potential schedule risks.
• Analyze the critical path, float, and schedule performance.
• Prepare recovery programs and recommend corrective actions for delayed activities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, subcontractors, and other departments.
• Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resources against project requirements.
• Update schedules based on approved variations, changes, and actual site progress.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and short-term execution plans.
• Assist with Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required.
• Monitor project milestones and ensure activities are aligned with overall project objectives.
• Attend progress meetings and provide planning and scheduling updates.
• Maintain proper records of programs, progress updates, reports, and planning documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
• Strong experience in building and civil construction projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6; MS Project is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, WBS, baseline schedules, and critical path methodology.
• Experience in progress monitoring, delay analysis, recovery schedules, and reporting.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, BOQs, and project specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction activities and site execution processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
• GCC/Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
• Must be currently located in Bahrain.
• Must be available for immediate joining.
