Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Waterproofing Supervisor to oversee waterproofing activities at construction sites. The candidate will be responsible for supervising workers, ensuring proper application of waterproofing systems, maintaining quality standards, and completing work according to project specifications and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily waterproofing activities and site manpower.
Manage and coordinate waterproofing applicators and workers.
Ensure proper surface preparation before waterproofing application.
Supervise installation of bituminous waterproofing membranes, cementitious waterproofing, liquid-applied membranes, PU waterproofing, and related systems.
Check material quality, quantities, and proper storage at site.
Ensure waterproofing works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
Inspect completed work and identify defects, leakage risks, or areas requiring repair.
Coordinate with the Site Engineer, Project Manager, Consultant, and Main Contractor.
Monitor daily progress and ensure work is completed within the required schedule.
Prepare daily progress reports and manpower reports.
Ensure workers follow approved method statements and safety requirements.
Conduct water tests/flood tests where required and coordinate inspections.
Ensure proper protection of completed waterproofing works before subsequent construction activities.
Resolve site issues and coordinate corrective works when required.
Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at the work area.
Required Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in waterproofing works, preferably in construction projects.
Strong practical knowledge of waterproofing materials and application methods.
Experience with water tanks, roofs, basements, wet areas, foundations, podiums, and concrete structures is preferred.
Ability to supervise and manage waterproofing teams.
Ability to read and understand drawings and waterproofing details.
Good knowledge of construction site safety and quality requirements.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of waterproofing membrane installation and detailing.
Knowledge of torch-applied and self-adhesive bituminous membranes.
Knowledge of cementitious and polyurethane waterproofing systems.
Experience with sealants, joint treatment, protection boards, and waterproofing accessories.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot leakage and waterproofing defects.
