Hi, I'm Sabir — a mechanical engineer currently based in Medina, and I'm looking for my next role in the Kingdom.
I've spent the last 6+ years working on real EPC sites here — piping, plant equipment, plumbing systems, and everything that comes with getting a project from construction to handover: inspections, testing, punch lists, closing out NCRs and TQs, and making sure things actually pass when Aramco or the client comes to check. Most recently I was Lead Mechanical Engineer on the Jafurah Desalination Project with SEPCO Arabia, and before that on the Maritime Yard Project in Ras Al Khair, supporting Aramco EPC work.
Alongside the field experience, I also hold a PhD from Peking University, where I worked on solar energy forecasting and AI-based analytics — so if your company is starting to look at renewables, predictive maintenance, or anything data-driven alongside the usual mechanical scope, that's something I can genuinely help with too, not just on paper.
A few practical things that might matter to you:
Transferable Iqama, already in KSA — no visa sponsorship needed, I can start right away
Fluent in English, and also fluent in Mandarin (6+ years living in China), which has been genuinely useful working with Chinese-managed contractors
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certified
Comfortable with piping/plumbing, HVAC and cooling systems, plant equipment, and general mechanical QA/QC
